Third grade
 
Third graders feel very comfortable greeting each other in Spanish and using the expressions
of courtesy.
We learned the alphabets during October.  Each students is able to spell their first and last name.
We celebrated Hispanic Heritage ...
 
We discussed the Day of the Dead.
During November and December, we will cover colors, shapes, classroom objects and
holidays in Spanish-Speaking countries

Fourth Graders
 
Participated in the Hispanic Heritage celebration in our school.
(4th grader made great posters and reports on the Day of the Dead.)
Finished greetings and expressions of courtesy, numbers 1-50,
and classroom objects.
 
In November we will continue to review objects in the classroom.
(The storms shorten our time together)

Fifth Graders
Finished Unit I and II:  Body parts and clothing
Fifth graders made beautiful body and clothing posters.
During November and December, we will cover: 
Unit 3, 4 and 5:  Physical characteristics - Describing people and their appearances.
Describing the outside of a house 
Holidays
 
Sixth Graders
 
We completed learning about sports and hobbies, different occupations and
the city  - Conociendo la ciudad
We are now working on the Verb Ir (to go) - ir al centro... go downtown
The family
Unit 4 - Traveling - countries - Verb Ser and Estar
Holidays in Spanish-speaking  countries.  Each student will make a presentation
on how Christmas is celebrated in their assigned country.
