Third grade
 
Third graders feel very comfortable greeting each other in Spanish and using the expressions
of courtesy.
They are learning the alphabets.  Each students will be able to spell their first and last name.
 
They will have a short lesson on The Day of the Dead.
During November and December, they will review  colors, shapes, classroom objects and
holidays in Spanish-Speaking countries.

Fourth Graders

Finished greetings and expressions of courtesy, numbers 1-50, and classroom objects
They will continue to work on the alphabets.  
New main topics in November and December:
 The colors   - The shapes  - Sizes
 Domestic animals 
 Places - Days of the week
 
The Day of the Dead.  Holidays
 
Fifth Graders
Each student reported on a Notable Hispanic to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month.
Completed the Unit I on Parts of the Body.  Posters on the body parts were completed.
 
Unit 2:  Students will learn the names of different articles of clothing, colors, sizes and how cloth fit. 
Talk about likes and dislikes. 
 
Unit 3 will cover personal appearance and personality traits.  Describe hair types and hair color.
Describe body types and personal characteristics.
 
Unit 4  ..  The exterior parts of a house..roof, mailbox and stairs.   Name the rooms of a house such
as kitchen, bedroom and dining room. 
 
The Day of the Dead and Holidays will be cover in class.

Sixth Graders
Students completed reviewing greetings and expressions of courtesy.
Hispanic Heritage Reports on a Spanish-speaking country.
 
Unit I was completed on sports and hobbies.  The pronouns were reviewed.  The verb Jugar (to play) and Ser (to be) were introduced. 
Unit 2  -  The community...The Fire Dept., The Hospital, Police Department, Department store,
and factory....Different occupations/professions in our community.

The Day of the Dead 

Unit 3  -  the city  - Conociendo la Ciudad (Getting to know your City).
The Verb Ir (to go) - ir al centro... go downtown will be introduced.
