It's very interesting to learn and compare how much we all have in common. The children are also encouraged to practice new words at home and in their community.
We will have many projects throughout the school year about the different celebrations in Spanish-speaking countries.
- Hispanic Heritage Month
- Day of the Dead
- Country Reports (Each child in 6th grade will be assigned a country for the year).
- La Navidad (Christmas)
- Cinco de Mayo
- Dia De las Madres
- Different Independence days
Fourth graders are now finishing greetings, courtesy words, and classroom objects.
Unit 2 will cover shapes/colors/animals/sizes
Fifth graders are learning about body parts, clothing and Day of the Dead.
Sixth graders finished working with Hispanic Heritage Celebration (Country Reports), Sports & Hobbies,
The community and different occupations, and Day of the Dead celebration.
2nd Marking Period it's full and fun and wonderful new lessons....
